“Indian Air” is the coming together of three artists. The Austrian musician Klaus Falschlunger on sitar is accompanied by Rofner on double bass and by percussionist Tobias Steinberger on frame drums/ric/kanjira. Klaus became aware of Indian music, particularly the sitar, more than 20 years ago, and has since mastered the instrument promoting Indian music in Europe. He studied Indian classical music in New Delhi and Varanasi.
The whole emotional spectrum of the musician’s inner world comes alive in “Indian Air.”
Growing up with jazz and rock, he discovered the diversity of music through his extensive travels to Asia, the Middle East and Europe. He has collaborated with many musicians and artists from India, Korea, USA and Europe.
