Bringing together a bouquet of contemporary art performances across music, dance and theatre, The Park New Festival celebrates India’s cultural heritage across various genres. In its 11th year, the festival will be held across six cities – Chennai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore. The festival is conceptualised and curated by The Park Hotels in association with Prakriti Foundation.

This year, the festival will feature a solo performance by Anuradha Menon (aka) Lola Kutty, a classical music performance by renowned vocalist Roopa Mahadevan and a contemporary dance performance by Surjit Nongmeikpam.

“The Park’s New Festival has witnessed many great performances and unique talents over the years,” said Priya Paul, Chairperson, Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels. “For many years, The Park Hotels has been propagating compelling performances of celebrated artists. This year too, our endeavour is to bring in Anything But Ordinary acts for our guests. Lola Kutty (Anuradha Menon) and Roopa Mahadevan are renowned artists, who have commissioned special performances for this year’s edition.In association with Prakriti Foundation, we look forward to showcasing some fresh and exciting performances.”

The founder of Prakriti Foundation and the curator of the festival, Ranvir Shah shared his excitement, “It has been an enriching journey for us, along with The Park Hotels. We are excited to celebrate the 11th edition of The Park’s New Festival with three enthralling performances. Over the years, this festival has brought skilled performers from all over the world, showcasing engaging art forms on a single platform.”

The first event of this festival will be held in Chennai on September 1 and then the month-long carnival will travel to other cities.
